Tap the frequency in the app, and you're done: With a SD-Link Bluetooth adapters transmit radio frequencies directly from SkyDemon – and just as from Sky-Map, VFRnav, EasyVFR or XCSoar – wirelessly to your radio. No manual typing, no typos during approach.
That's how it works
From app to radio in three steps
The SD-Link The adapter sits between the radio and the wiring harness and translates between the wireless app connection and the serial interface of your radio.
- Tap frequency in the app In SkyDemon (or Sky-Map, VFRnav, EasyVFR, XCSoar) you tap the desired frequency – for example, that of an airfield directly on the map.
- Connect to the adapter via Bluetooth The app wirelessly transmits the frequency via Bluetooth Low Energy to the SD-Link Adapter. No cables between tablet and cockpit, stable BLE connection.
- The adapter is set up on the radio. The adapter transmits the frequency to the radio via the serial interface – the standby frequency is set without you having to type in a digit.
Many radios support bidirectional communication: if you change the frequency on the device, it will also appear in the app. The exact details depend on the radio and its protocol.

Which app and radio do you need?
Frequency transmission works with SkyDemon, Sky-Map, VFRnav and EasyVFR (XCSoar for ATR833 and KRT2). On the radio equipment page, SD-Link Adapter for f.u.n.k.e ATR833, TQ KRT2, TRIG TY91/TY92/TY96/TY97, Becker AR620X, uAvionix AV-30, Dynon SV-COM and a Universal-Solution via RS-232.

Mounting
Plug-and-play – no soldering required
You plug the adapter between the radio and the existing wiring harness – no soldering, no additional wiring. Power is supplied between 5 and 28 V. Angled versions are available for tight installations behind the radio, and a dual-source version is available for cockpits with EFIS, operating in parallel with the existing EFIS.

How do I transmit a frequency? SkyDemon to the radio?
You tap the frequency in the app, it is transmitted via Bluetooth to the SD-Link The adapter transmits the data, and the adapter configures the settings on the radio – without manual input. The adapter is plugged in between the radio and the wiring harness.
Which navigation apps support frequency transmission?
SkyDemon, Sky-Map, VFRnav and EasyVFR are supported; XCSoar with the adapters for ATR833 and KRT2Air Navigation Pro is under development; ForeFlight is not currently supported.
Do I need to solder for installation?

Will this work with my radio?

Does the connection work in both directions?
Yes, for many radios: Active and standby frequencies are kept synchronized, so a change on the device is also reflected in the app. The exact scope depends on the radio and its protocol.
