Description

TQ KRT2 Bluetooth adapter (Dual Source) for SkyDemon, Sky-Map and other navigation apps — SD-KRT2-DS.

Control your radio via the app — without additional wiring, now also compatible with existing EFIS installations. The SD-KRT2-DS is a plug-and-play adapter for the TQ KRT2 VHF transceiver. It's simply inserted between the radio and the Sub-D connector — no soldering, screws, or configuration required. You can set standby and active frequencies directly from SkyDemon or Sky-Map; the station's name is also transmitted to the radio.

Dual Source — compatible with existing EFIS

Many modern aircraft use an existing connection between EFIS (e.g., Dynon SkyView, Nesis) and the radio. With Dual-Source technology, you disconnect the existing data line, plug in the adapter—and you're done. Your EFIS connection remains intact, and you gain SkyDemon integration.

I wanted to connect SkyDemon to my KRT2 in addition to my built-in GPS, without having to unplug and replug it every time. The dual-source version is ideal for exactly that. Both sources remain connected, and the frequencies are reliably transferred.

    Verified purchase.

We use Sky-Map on a tablet in our club aircraft, but we wanted to retain the existing GPS connection on the radio. Installation was straightforward, and since then both systems can be used with the KRT2. It's been working perfectly so far.

    Verified purchase.

  3. Richard P.

I bought the dual-source version because the serial connection on our KRT2 was already occupied by the panel GPS. It now accepts frequencies from EasyVFR without losing the existing installation. Setup required a careful look at the instructions, but after that it worked as expected.

    Verified purchase.

  4. Alan Hughes

The main advantage for me is that I did not have to choose between the aircraft GPS and XCSoar. Both remain connected, and frequency transfer from the tablet has been reliable. A well thought-out solution for an already equipped panel.

    Verified purchase.

  5. Philippe R.

There is now a GPS raccordé on KRT2 and there is no need to modify the existing installation. With this version, you can also hear the frequencies from the VFRnav. The rest of the branch is permanent and functions as intended.

    Verified purchase.

Please return the SD-Link to the KRT2 radio.

The bill is at this court: it's excellent !!!

    Extended version:

It's a passé plus de temps à devisser the tableau de bord pour accéder au dos de la radio qu'à faire l'installation et la configuration.

There is nothing wrong, the documentation is precise and clear, the installation is done in a minute of 60 seconds, the configuration in SkyDemon is a formality.

    Et ça fonctionne nickel :

A tape on the tablet to open the menu des frequencies dispo dans la région affichée,

A tape to validate the frequency that passes immédiatement on the standby of the radio with affichage en texte associé.
