The SD-ATR833-DS is a Plug-and-play adapter for the funke ATR833 VHF transceiver. It is simply inserted between the radio and the Sub-D connector – without soldering, screwing or configurationThe standby or active frequency can be set directly from SkyDemon / Sky Map / VFRnav / XCSoar can be set via Bluetooth.
The adapter is 5 mm shorter than the standard version and fits into a C42.
Compatible with existing EFIS – dual-source technology
Many modern aircraft use an existing connection between EFIS (e.g. Dynon SkyView, Nesis) and the radio – classic Bluetooth solutions reach their limits here.

→ Simply disconnect the existing data cable, plug in the adapter, and you're done. This way, your EFIS connection remains intact. and You benefit from the advantages of SkyDemon integration.

Please note: The adapter is only with radios from software version SW 5.8 Older versions (SW 5.7 and lower) are unsupported.
You can tell whether your device was already delivered with SW 5.8 by the Serial number – the first supported unit carries the S-No. 40131610 (Production year 2010).
💡 Tip: The last two digits of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture.
