Devices from software version 5.8 onwards are supported . First supported serial number: 40131610 (production year 2010).
Older versions (≤ 5.7) are not compatible and may require a software update from the manufacturer.
Tip: The last two digits of the serial number indicate the year of production.
Both adapters are technically identical and can be used plug-and-play.
The angled version is designed for installations with limited space behind the radio and can be angled either upwards (UP) or downwards (DOWN).
Note: The plug orientation varies depending on the radio model – please check the orientation before ordering.
With dual-source technology, you can use the navigation app and EFIS simultaneously.
Existing EFIS data cables (e.g. Garmin G3X, Dynon, Nesis) remain intact – the adapter is simply plugged in between.
This way you also benefit from the frequency transmission from your navigation app without losing your existing avionics wiring.
If your ATR833 wiring harness has a 5-pin Binder connector instead of a 9-pin remote connector.
In this case, the PigTail is plugged in between the wiring harness and the SD-Link Universal Adapter.
This means that the plug-and-play function is retained even with older wiring harness variants.

Note: The Becker AR6201 is supported from serial number 3001 (NG version) onwards — older AR6201 models are not. The AR6211 (successor to the AR6201) is supported without serial number restrictions.

The adapter is powered via pins 8/9 of the radio . If it remains dark after being plugged in, in almost all cases the power supply via these pins in the wiring harness is not connected.
Check the pinout according to the installation instructions – this is usually the issue.
The plug-and-play adapters are simply inserted, not permanently installed – no modifications to the aircraft's wiring are required, and they can be removed at any time without leaving any residue. This is straightforward for ultralight and experimental aircraft.
